55 Days to Go

Why is it that when I start posting what I eat, it's easier to stick to a plan? Why do I feel obligated by this blog, rather than obligated to myself and my own health? Is embarrassment of putting what I consume here what motivates me, rather than looking better and feeling better?

By the way, I hopped (yes hopped) on the scale this morning and I only have six more pounds to lose to get back to where I was four months ago...then eleven more to my Vegas goal!

12:56 Edit: A vendor brought in Panera Bread today for lunch. I thought I would be okay if I only had 1/2 sandwich and declined the (awesome looking) cookies and potato chips, my only side dish was a Diet Pepsi. I looked up the nutrition facts online, and holy crap...I should have politely said "no thank you".

You are on to something with the blogging thing. I went to Weightwatchers for a while and it was the shame of having to stand up in front of other people and be weighed that worked for me. I wanted to lose weight so that I wouldn't be embarrassed at the weekly weigh in as much as lose it for myself.

Trying to motivate myself to go back. Have put on about ten pounds in recent months. Joy of joys.

Oh congratulations on your weight loss. Enjoy Vegas! It is great to have something like that to look forward to. Helps with the motivation.
