Schweaty Man Challenge: Post One

You know. I hate scales. Not because I hate my weight necessarily, but I hate their inconsistency. I weigh myself at home everyday. Everyday for almost two months I have weighed 193 (+/- 2 pounds). Since Schweaty Man and I decided to begin a new challenge today, we thought we would weigh ourselves on the same scale at work, at the same time. Then we will use the same scale, at the same time for our final weigh-ins.

Well here it is. Our results on the crappy-weigh-ten-more-pounds scale:

Jennie: 202.6 pounds
Schweaty Man: 261 pounds

Mom just called and we are going out to eat for dinner tonight. Tomorrow night out with The Casseroles. Sunday night to Jenny's for the Oscars (you know I'll bring food).

Damn. This ain't gonna be easy.

Hi,
Feel like a stalker but Jenny Mathews gave me her blog address and I drifted on to your site from one of her links.

You probably don't remember me I am Olivia...Chris Schwanke's wife. (I hate defining myself as someone's wife but it is the only way to explain who I am).

Just to say congratulations on your weight loss. It can be so hard to keep up the momentum when you have children. So many mouths to feed that it is difficult to keep track of what we actually eat ourselves.

(You know the score...concerned when your two year old hasn't eaten any vegetables when you haven't digested a carrot in months!)

Anyway, keep going. It is worth it. (Says me who went to Weightwatchers two weeks in a row and thought I was going to turn in to Kate Moss only to suddenly get distracted by a pack of Doritos!)

I think the main thing with weight loss is just not to beat yourself up about it. Just because you devoured everything in sight yesterday doesn't mean your diet is ruined. Every day is a blank slate. And on that note I am going downstairs for a nice snack!!! After all I was good yesterday!! Take care. And again well done.

Of course I remember you...I was going through some old pics with Emily the other day and ran across a big stack from your wedding. Doesn't that seem like forever ago?

Thanks for the inspiration. I need all I can get.
